For those of you who have purchased an Unlocked iPhone and use it on the T-Mobile Network, How well does it work? I'm seriously thinking about getting one on eBay and I am just curious if a lot of the functions don't work, or if its worth it. Let me know!

It works amazing. Frankly, it works better than any of the phones we sell. (Dont tell i said that).

YouTube works
Internet works great
Email, all of it (and TMobiles internet and email are cheaper, and our plans for that matter!)

The ONLY FEATURE that doesnt work is VISUAL VOICEMAIL. Your voicemail will work fine, but not the ability to see the messages in a list like texts. Only ATT liscenced that technology from apple.


Use www.ziphone.org (maybe .com, cant remember) to unlock it. Did it again for someone 4 days ago, worked in under 10 minutes, not fussing, just plug and play.

In recent months, tech blogs have been abuzz with rumors that Google is planning to market its own smartphone based on its Android operating system. The plan would signal a more aggressive effort by Google, which so far has relied on partners to build and market Android phones, to become a force in mobile devices. It could also put Google at odds with those partners, which include Verizon Wireless and Motorola, and it would sharpen its competition with Apple, whose iPhone dominates the high-end smartphone market in the United States.

Google employees who asked not to be identified confirmed recently that the company was indeed helping to develop new hardware and software for Android phones and coming up with new ways to get those phones into the hands of consumers, but they refused to give more details. They insisted that the project would not alienate allies, as Google planned to work with partners on it.

Now Google’s efforts in this area appear to be bearing fruit. On Friday, Google began distributing new phones to employees, who began posting comments to Twitter about them, as TechCrunch reported . Some of them referred to the device as the new “Google phone.”

Ive tried calling vodafone, optus and telstra stores and none of them sell the iphone unlocked, so i can stick my own sim in. does anyone actually know where you can buy an unlocked one from? or is it only on the internet?
the problem with ebay is that its really dodgy with illegal unlocking as there is no warrenty etc and apple wont fix it if it breaks.
