Q: I have a nikon 8008s camera with three lens for it. If I buy a new nikon digital camera will these lens work on the new camera?
A: Lenses for an F801/8008 would all be Ai or AF/AF-D. They would almost certainly NOT be AF-I/AF-S (the F801/8008 can't operate the autofocus motor in AF-I/AF-S lenses). They would mount on any Nikon digital body.
The two gotchas would be:
1. Ai lenses (except for the fairly uncommon Ai-P lenses which are actually AF-D lenses without autofocus) would get no metering on anything except the D1/2/3 or D200/300/700.
2. AF/AF-D lenses would not autofocus on a D40/D40x/D60
Another important thing to note: Except on a D3/D700 all your...
is it practical to sell my nikon slr camera now that digital cameras are being used?

The first photo that was taken in 1814 using a sliding wooden box camera wasn’t permanent. It faded! Cameras have come a very long way since sliding wooden boxes, the camera obscura and traditional cameras requiring rolls. Thank god for that. It’s not that antiquity doesn’t charm us, but imagine lugging around a heavy box for clicking all those colorful memories or getting entangled with messy rolls that have a vampire-like aversion to sunlight as well as bright lights. There are many players in the present camera scene and we’re giving our attention to Nikon in this instance. That’s because the Nikon Coolpix S1000pj projector camera landed in front of us asking to be reviewed and we could do nothing but oblige this innovative gizmo. Since the camera is touted to be first to integrate a projector, we were pretty wound up about reviewing it.
This 12MP camera came bundled in with a rechargeable Li-ion battery, battery charger, A/V cable, USB cable, projector stand, camera strap, software suite CD-ROM and miniature remote control. Appearance-wise, the S1000pj is just your average digital camera sporting a squarish body. It should have been curvier if it could not get any smaller, then it would have looked a little less boring. The one we got our hands on was finished in black matte with chrome accents along the edges. Get some fingerprints on the 2.7” high resolution LCD and it’s easy to convince anybody that it’s been your best buddy through two Christmases at least. Matte doesn’t look good on this device though it’s extremely fingerprint-resistant, maybe it’s the color. The silver hued one probably looks better in real life. Its 2.5” x 4” x 0.9” dimensions and 5.5oz lightweight body are very portable though not compact enough to fit into a pair of regular denims.
I have a Nikon 35mm camera, and 3 Nikon AF lenses. I want to buy a Nikon digital camera. Can I still use these lenses?
I am looking for the total sales of Canon/Nikon digital cameras each year for the past 3 yrs. Thank you..
