In an interview with GamePro.com , John Koller, head of PlayStation marketing, talked about Sony's plans for 2010 regarding various PlayStation products.
On the topic of PlayStation Network, Koller described the PSN as "very important" and noted that Sony "is going to add a number of very critically demanded features" to it. Koller then described the PlayStation Network as one of Sony's "pillars" for 2010, alongside motion controls and 3D gaming.
Koller then talked about Sony's still unnamed PlayStation Eye wand-shaped controller. He said that the genres of family games, sports games and shooters would be "really critical" to Sony's success with the controller. He then said these genres "...will really define success, because they're areas that quite honestly, I think Project Natal and the Wii are going to have trouble matching, from a differentiation standpoint.
We look at motion control as being that much more than what exists on the market. The Holy Grail of gaming is placing you as a consumer into the game physically."
