The holiday season always brings with it multiple articles trying to advise would-be gamers which system is right for them to buy. Some of these are well-informed, truthful looks at the pros and cons of each console, while others are merely a jaded fanboy’s uninformed opinion. Step forward Steve Boxer of The Guardian.
In an article titled, Which games console is right for you? , Steve Boxer, the games journalist for The Guardian, takes a look at the three home consoles and the PC. I say take a look but I’m guessing it was a cursory glance more than a detailed study, at least judging by the comments he made.
The Wii is described quite fairly, with “the graphics aren’t as pretty as its two more technologically advanced rivals, and really ground-breaking Wii games come along very infrequently.” While the Xbox 360 is talked up as “something more heavyweight with the best games portfolio [...] the Xbox has the edge over Sony’s PS3.”
